
Science camp for girls at EPFL, October 10-14, 2005
SciencePassion had the mandate to co-organise a science
camp for girls at EPFL with the purpose of encouraging them to choose scientific professions. Twenty girls from 11 to 13 years old were chosen
to participate to scientific workshops during 5 days starting
from October 10, 2005.
The camp was organised under the direction of the Equality Office of EPFL together with Dr. Andrea Fabian from
NCCR-QP. During the five days, science demos offered by EPFL professors,
science workshops and recreational activities were proposed.
Girls could see that science is interesting and fun. Their
feedback was extremely positive and encouraging. To see
